UNILAG student Femi Adeyeye, others arrested for criticising Ambode

University of Lagos student, Femi Adeyeye and three other activists were whisked away to an unknown location this morning for criticising the Lagos State government.

‘We are here to tell Governor Akinwunmi Ambode that there’s nothing like success story in Lagos,’ Adeyeye at said at Community Road, Allen, where he spoke with Newsroom.

He was in the company of two activism leaders, Sanyaolu Juwon and Akinola Abiodun, and about 10 other protesters.

They questioned some of the recent happenings in Lagos

They faulted the state government over the demolition of Otodo Gbame community and Sabo market, arrest and alleged imprisonment of teenage hawkers, and others.

They also criticised the APC-led federal government over the falling standard of education and academic infrastructure despite rising tuition fees.
