The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has called the Obi of Issele-Uku in Aniochia North Local government Area of Delta State, His Royal Highness, Obi Nduka Ezeagwuna II, to always exhibit good conduct in the discharge of his duties on throne.

Oba Ewuare II, made the call when he received the newly crowned Delta monarch, who was accompanied by his chiefs, at his palace in Benin, the Edo State capital.

Obi Nduka had undergone some traditional and spiritual training at the Oba’s palace, prior to his coronation ‎as the 20th Obi of Issele-Uku in January, 2017.

The Benin royal father told the young monarch not to forget the orientation he received from the Benin palace months ago on his journey to the ascension to his ancestral throne.

According to Oba Ewuare II, deeper wisdom and knowledge of the elders were required in traditional administration.

He, however, urged the chiefs and people of Issele-Uku to  give their support for the young king to succeed.

He also promised to provide spiritual and other forms of support needed for the Obi’s smooth reign on the throne.

Earlier, Ezeagwuna II explained that he was on a thank-you visit to the palace to pay homage and appreciate the fatherly role played by the Oba during and after his coronation process.

He also assured that he would sustain the age-long cordial relationship between the two kingdoms.
