Kodak had been facing the potential maximum of eight years in state prison

Kodak Black will be serving more time behind bars.

The ‘Tunnel Vision’ rapper was sentenced to 364 days in jail for violating the terms of his house arrest.

But he could be released in about a month if he completes a life skills course and gets credit for time served, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Appearing in court on Thursday afternoon May 4, the 19-year-old rapper apologized to his mother after hearing her break down in tears outside the courtroom last week. ‘It pierced my heart,’ he said.

When he gets out, he’d still be on the same year-long term of house arrest and five years of probation.

The state attorney reportedly wanted Black to spend eight years in prison for violating the terms of his house arrest, which stemmed from his visit to a Miami strip club and an Ohio boxing match without authorization from his probation officer.

As a result of the sentence, Black was removed from Future’s ‘Nobody Safe Tour.’

His debut album, Painting Pictures is currently number 16 on the Billboard 200 after debuting at number three last month.
